Within each category, you may find plenty of models that will fit your budget as well as your skill level.
2. Find a Cannondale dealer near you to test ride one of the many models of mountain bikes. Since Cannondale is one of the largest manufacturers of bikes in the world, you should be able to find a dealer that sells Cannondale mountain bikes quite easily. Look for a dealer that has a large stock, so that you can compare more models and even bargain for a better price.
3. Attend a Cannondale test ride event, where service centers and dealers offer potential customers the chance to ride a variety of mountain bike models. Check with a local Cannondale dealer to find out if any test ride events are scheduled in your area in the near future.
4. Work with your Cannondale dealer to buy a mountain bike package that may include safety equipment such as a helmet and goggles, or Cannondale bike clothing and footwear. You will also need to buy a small tool kit containing a patch kit, wrenches and spoke tighteners to keep your mountain bike running when out in the wilderness.
