Nike Rifts are a type of sport footwear that comes in several different colors and sizes. Nike has specialized in sports gear since 1972. Based in Beaverton, Oregon, the Nike Corp. stretches across six continents and continues to grow every year. Customizing your own Rifts can be a challenge when you aren't that imaginative. There are several ways that you can customize your own Nike Rifts, regardless of gender or size.
Instructions
1. Put stickers on the shoes in the pattern, design and order that you desire. It is alright if the stickers do not have a strong adhesive on the back. To get the stickers to stay, use an old and small paintbrush to paint over the stickers with a clear drying and flexible glue.
2. Use fabric paint pens, or permanent markers, depending on what you're more comfortable drawing with, to decorate your Nike Rifts. You can write your name in a playful and colorful font, draw a design on the shoe, or fill in stencils on your shoes. Once again, you will need to cover the paint or ink with a coat of clear drying and flexible glue because Nike Rifts are made with fabric instead of leather or plastic. This will keep the ink and paint from peeling and bleeding in the wash.
3. Cure any paint or ink you put on your Rifts with a hair dryer after the shoes have had time to dry for at least 24 hours. This will further set the paint or ink into your shoes.
4. Choose different embellishments to add to your Nike Rifts. This can include buttons, stamps, pieces of fabric, etc. You must first glue the embellishments to the shoe. Then, after the glue has had time to dry (at least one hour), use another coat of glue on top of the embellishments to hold them in place for a longer period of time.
