Change A Heath Wireless Doorbell Chime

A Heath-brand wireless doorbell chime uses a radio frequency to transmit a signal when the doorbell is pressed. Similar RF frequencies in the proximity of the chime can cause interference in the signal being sent. To change the signal that's used to send the RF signal, adjust a setting on both the Heath-brand wireless doorbell chime and its doorbell module. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Go to the fuse box and trip the circuit breaker that supplies power to the electric line wired to the Heath-brand wireless door chime. Remove the screws surrounding the chime with a Phillips screwdriver.

2. Turn the back of the chime towards you. Insert the tip of a flat-edged jeweler's screwdriver into the open compartment on the back. Push the tip of the screwdriver against one of the tabs inside the compartment. Push down on the tip to force the tab down. Repeat this with all of the tabs.

3. Place the chime back against the wall and reattach the screws.

4. Insert the tip of a flat-edged screwdriver into the seam between the push button and the base screwed to the door. Pull back on the tip to loosen the button. Pull the button off with your hands. Turn the button over. Place the tip of a flat-edged jeweler's screwdriver against one of the tabs on the back. Push the tab down. Repeat this procedure with all of the tabs.

5. Press the button back on the base. Push the button against the base to secure it. Restore the electric power.
