Change Netflix Into
HD on a PS3
The PlayStation 3 gaming console, or more commonly known as PS3, is compatible with Netflix for TV show and movie streaming. Netflix has hundreds of videos available for live Internet streaming, some of which are in full HD. If you have found a Netflix show or movie labeled as HD but it doesn't show up as HD on your HDTV screen, you need to change the connection method you're using to connect your PS3 to your HDTV.
Instructions
1. Turn off your PS3 and disconnect the A/V (Audio/Video) cable from the back of it and your HDTV.
2. Connect the PS3 component AV cable or HDMI cable to the proper port on the back of your PS3 (the "AV MULTI OUT" connection for component or the "HDMI OUT" connection for HDMI), then to the matching connection type (Component or HDMI) on the back of your HDTV.
3. Turn on your PS3 and HDTV, then open the Netflix application on your PS3. Scroll to the desired HD TV show or movie and select it to begin playing it. It will now show up in full HD on your HDTV screen.
