Build My Amsoil Website

If your gas station carries AMSOIL, you can have a site at the AMSOIL store.

AMSOIL is a synthetic oil company that produces motor oils and products for the maintenance of your car. If your gas station, service center or auto store carries AMSOIL merchandise, you can set up an AMSOIL site. This site is different from a regular website, and does not have an address you can type into an address bar. Your site is connected to the AMSOIL Online Store. When customers choose an AMSOIL product to purchase locally, your site will appear among the other choices for their location. You can only set up your AMSOIL site if you are a certified dealer.

Instructions

1. Contact the AMSOIL dealer that provides you with AMSOIL products. You can call toll free at 800-956-5695, which is the line for the main AMSOIL company. Ask to speak to the web design department, as that is the department that handles the design for the sites. You do not create the site on your own; instead you provide the department with the correct information to create it, thereby creating the site over the phone.

2. Give the web tech department the following information to create your site: your store location, the types of AMSOIL products you carry, your hours of operating, your address and phone number, and the name of your store. You are also allowed to provide about 20 words in a description of the other services you provide at your store.

3. Check the AMSOIL Online Store page (see Resources) about 24 hours after you have made the call. If you type in your location and your store does not appear, call back to see when it will be activated. The sites are usually activated within 24 hours. Although you cannot edit this site once it is up, or access it yourself on the Internet, whenever customers go to the AMSOIL store, find a product to purchase and put in their location, they will be directed to your site.
