Buy The Best Shoes For Work

Good work shoes make healthy feet.

Buying the best shoes for work is important. Even if your job doesn't require a lot of standing, it's important to wear shoes that are right for you. Your work (and play) shoes should be comfortable, safe, and ergonomic. Keep this in mind while buying work shoes.

Instructions

1. Go shopping in the morning or afternoon as this is the best time to buy work shoes. This way your feet can swell and should be in a good shoe buying condition. When you go shoe shopping, make sure to wear the same type of socks that you usually wear to work.

2. Be sure to measure your feet so you get the right shoe size. A foot is measured from the bottom of the foot to the top in a diagonal manner, so heel to big toe. Most people have feet that are different sizes. Typically, it is the right foot that is larger. Buy the work shoe size of your biggest foot.

3. Walk around in the prospective work shoes before you buy them. They should be comfortable, fit tight around the heel so your foot doesn't slip out when walking, support the arch, and give those toes room to move. You don't want contact areas inside the shoe so make sure it doesn't rub in places because blisters hurt.

4. Though you might have a wide selection of shoes, choose work shoes that are appropriate for your working conditions. Make sure to buy the shoes that will hold up under the wear and tear you'll give them.

5. Make sure to buy and replace your work shoes often. Comfort and safety go a long way. Wearing the wrong shoes can contribute to other aches and pains.
