Choose A Swimsuit For A Fitness Competition

Anyone that enters a fitness competition needs to be aware that the contest is packed with many equally fit women and anything you can do to improve your chances of winning is to your benefit. Choosing the right swimsuit for a fitness competition can greatly enhance your chances. A good swimsuit can give you enough edge to make the difference between a win and second place.

Instructions

1. Find colors that complement your skin tone. Dark haired women with olive or blue undertones usually don't look as good in greens as they do in black and whites or shocking pink. Use a guide to match the color to your complexion.

2. Disguise flaws by appropriately placed darker and lighter colors. A lighter color stands out and a darker color recesses. A lighter top and darker bottom will show the upper chest muscles off more. The reverse is also true. If you're having a swimsuit made, discuss the area that you want to conceal with your seamstress.

3. Choose a wetlook Lycra/nylon blend if you want the contour of your body to show, even through the material . The wetlook in a bright color accents your covered muscles.

4. Add bling. Beads and gems can be added to a more inexpensive suit to give it show quality. Gems can also be used to accent spots and take eyes away from areas that you don't want emphasized.

5. Make them remember you with neon and color. Neon, particularly in a wetlook, shows off muscles beneath. The brighter the color, as long as it blends with your skin tone, and the more dramatic the design, the more you will stand out from the crowd.

6. Demand a good fit. Although most competition swimwear stretches, if the fit isn't comfortable, don't buy it. Remember, even the best bikini adhesive won't keep a suit in place if it's a bad fit.

7. Use material that doesn't wrinkle. Wrinkles can be mistaken for body flaws from a distance. Always buy competition swimwear that is wrinkle resistant.
