Donate Clothing To Women'S Shelters In Massachusetts

Women's shelters in Massachusetts provide safe housing situations for women and their children who are victims of violence and abuse. Many of the women's shelters that operate in Massachusetts are run by nonprofit charity organizations that depend on charitable donations in order to operate. The needs of individual shelters can vary, but clothing is almost always welcome as a donation. You can find the contact information for a local shelter by using the "Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless" directory service web page, a link for which is provided in this article's Resources section.

Instructions

1. Click the link for the area of Massachusetts you reside in on the "Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless" directory page. This will display the contact information for shelters in your area.

2. Contact the shelter you want to make the donation to by calling its listed telephone number.

3. Inform the shelter representative that you want to donate clothing. The shelter worker will inform you whether they are currently taking donations and what procedures to follow for that specific shelter.
