Easily Apply For Florida Food Stamps

When individuals or families living in Florida having don't have enough money to purchase food, they can apply for help with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). It administers the Florida Food Assistance Program, previously known as the Florida Food Stamp Program. The easiest and fastest way to apply for Florida food stamps is online. According to the DCF, it typically takes about 30 minutes for most applicants to complete the online application.


Instructions


1. Collect your entire household's required documentation. This includes proof of identity, proof of Florida residency, proof of citizenship, social security numbers, birth dates, job and wage history, bank accounts and other asset details, as well as monthly expenses for housing and utilities.


2. Visit the Department of Children and Families' "ACCESS Florida Food, Medical Assistance and Cash" website.


3. Click on the "Prescreening" link on the page to determine your eligibility, if you are not sure if you qualify for Florida food stamps. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.


4. Click on the "Apply For Benefits" link to create a My Florida Access Account.


5. Write down your My Florida Access Account "access code/username" and "password", which will allow you to access your online account in the future.


6. Fill out the required information and follow the directions on each page. If you need more time to locate required information, sign out of the application. Find the information and then sign back in to complete the application.


7. Submit your Florida food stamp application online for the quickest results.


8. Print the "Confirmation Page" or make note of your "Access Online Number" shown on the top of the "Confirmation Page" for future reference. Provide an email address to receive an email confirmation.
