Donate To The Jolie Pitt Foundation

Support development in rural Cambodia.

The Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation (MJP) is a charitable body, created by Hollywood superstar couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and named, in part, for their first son, Maddox Chivan, an orphan adopted in Cambodia. The foundation is devoted to helping rural Cambodians living in poverty through community-development projects. Their programs involve health care, education, agriculture, micro-businesses, conservation and rural planning. If you would like to support MJP initiatives there are many ways to help, either through in-kind donations or by volunteering your time and energy.

1. Hollywood buzz is full of speculation and rumor, so if you want to find out more about Brangelina's humanitarian work, and how you can get involved, get past the hype and go to a credible source to do your research. The official Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation website is mjpasia.org. You can access reliable information on all of their current initiatives in park conservation, community development, education and food security at the website. You will also learn donate cash in-kind and the requirements of volunteers looking to contribute their time and labor.

2. If you are passionate about the causes that Brad & Angie devote their lives to (when they're not on the set or taking care of their six children), you can apply to be a professional volunteer or (unpaid) intern in northwestern Cambodia and assist their team of experts on various projects. A minimum three-month commitment is required. Current contact information is listed on the official MJP website to connect you with a team coordinator in Cambodia or a representative at the American Headquarters in Los Angeles.

3. If you do not have the flexibility in your life to leave family and/or work for three months to participate directly in the MJP's development work, you can still support the cause through in-kind donations. The website states that 100 percent of donations go directly into field programs. Field programs include the protection of the Samlout National Park's endangered species, forests and ecosystems and a multitude of on-going development projects to address poverty and disease among rural Cambodians. You can make a donation through the website.
