Create a Fundraising Chart
When you are fundraising, you want a way to visualize how much you've raised and how much you need to attain your goal. Fundraising charts are a great way to motivate people to do more and give more. When they can visually see the fruits of their labor, they just might be more inclined to keep giving their time and money. Put up a fundraising chart so that everyone can see how far you've come and much closer you are to your fundraising goals.
Instructions
1. Draw a thermometer shape on a large piece of poster board. The size of the thermometer should be dictated by how much money you are trying to raise; it should be large enough to go from $0 to the maximum amount.
2. Use a black marker to draw lines on the fundraising chart. Label these lines in monetary increments that reflect gains in fundraising. Depending on how much you need to raise, you can do the lines in $5, $10, $50, $100 or $500 increments.
3. Write the name of the charity across the top of the chart, and write the number for the fundraising goal at the very top of the thermometer.
4. Cut out slips of construction paper that are the same size as the increments that you've drawn on the thermometer.
5. Place the slips of construction paper on the fundraising chart as you raise more money, until you reach to the top of your thermometer, or your fundraising goal.
6. Mount the thermomter on the wall or another prominent place so everyone can see it. Update it when you hit a new total, and write the grand total across the top of the chart.
