One such lacing method, roman-style, will give your shoes an eye-catching appeal. The style requires little special knowledge or know-how. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Set your shoe down so that the toe is facing you.
2. Mentally label the eyelets on your sneaker to make lacing them easier. The left eyelets will be L1, L2, L3, etc.; L1 will be the eyelet closest to the toe of the shoe. The right eyelets will be R1, R2, R3, etc., with R1 on the toe end of the shoe.
3. Feed the lace through L1 and back up through L2. Pull the laces through so that there is an even amount of lace on each side.
4. Bring the lace coming up from the L2 eyelet over to the R1 eyelet and feed it down into the eyelet.
5. Feed the lace up through the R3 eyelet, skipping the R2 eyelet.
6. Bring the lace over the top of the shoe from the R3 eyelet to the L3 eyelet and feed the lace down into L3.
7. Feed the lace up through the L4 eyelet and over diagonally to the R5 eyelet.
8. Feed the lace up and through the R6 eyelet to finish feeding the laces on that side.
9. Return to the L1 eyelet and bring the other side of the lace up and over diagonally to the R2 eyelet. Feed the lace down into R2.
10. Skip the R3 eyelet on the underside and feed the lace up through the R4 eyelet.
11. Bring the lace up and over diagonally to the L5 eyelet. Feed the lace through and then up through the L6 eyelet to finish lacing that side.
12. Tie your shoes as usual.
