The Olympics are the top collection of sporting events in the world and the place where the best athletes in the world compete to be named the best of the best. The Olympics inspire people in many ways, including fashion footwear. Several athletic shoe brands offer Olympic-inspired shoe designs, but many consumers want the option to customize their own Olympic-style sports shoes. 1. Choose which brand of shoe you want to customize. Brands like Adidas, Nike, Converse, Reebok and Puma have customization tools on their websites. These and other brands have pre-designed Olympic-themed shoes available as well.
2. Choose the style of shoe you want to customize. For example, Adidas has more than 100 shoe styles available to customize. Choose a shoe that will suit the type of athletic activity in which you plan on participating. Also consider the different comfort features each style of shoe offers, such as Reebok's Zigtech or Adidas's Microbounce.
3. Choose the colors that best represent the team or country you are rooting for. You can use the country's flag as a guide. For example, Italy's flag is red, white and green, so you can use those colors in your shoe design.
4. Select which part of the shoe will be which color. For example, Adidas shoes have an iconic three-stripe design. You can choose to have each stripe be a different color or all the same color, and have other parts of the shoe be the other colors you chose.
5. Choose any decals you want to apply to your design. You can choose from the provided country or sport decals available on the shoe brand's website. Some brands, like Converse, will allow you to upload a picture to use as a decal. If an Olympics symbol is not in the provided decals, see if you can upload a picture of the Olympic rings or a similar symbol.
6. Finalize your shoe design, and add it to your online shopping cart. From the shopping cart, you can select your shipping method and view your order total.
7. Click the "Checkout" button, and fill out your shipping and billing address. Some shoe websites will require you to register for a free account with them in order to complete your order so that they can email you a receipt and help you track your shipping.
8. Fill out your payment information. If paying with a credit card, you will need to select the card type and fill out the card number, expiration date and security code from the back of the card. If using a checking account, you will need to fill out your routing number and account number from your check book. These numbers can be found at the bottom of the check.
9. Track your shipment on the shoe brand's website or through a tracking number that they will email you on your receipt.
