Intuition is a gut feeling or hunch we all have about something that is beyond any logical evidence. It is an awareness that is stimulated by the mind, body and soul collectively. We all are blessed with the ability to be perceptive. Here are some easy steps to develop your sensitivity to intuition and understand the subtle signs.

1. Meditate to calm your mind. Slowing down your thinking helps to focus on what really matters. Light an aromatic candle, sit down comfortably and close your eyes. Now, focus on the fragrance to alert your senses.
2. Pay attention to your subconscious mind. Practice silent conversations in your head to understand your inner self. Improve your intuition by listening to the voice in your ears, the image in your mind or the feeling in your stomach.
3. Get creative. Exercise your mind by expressing your thoughts in the form of drawing or writing.
4. Find a physical activity that you enjoy such as walking, swimming, yoga or tai chi and practice it three times a week. Alertness in the body creates awareness in the mind.
5. Stimulate your brain with memory tests. Recollect and replay the images from an event in your past. Try to get it down to the last detail such as the dress you wore, the weather, the lighting in the room and the background noise.
6. Nourish your body with proper diet and rest. Your mind needs positive thoughts and your soul needs prayer and kindness.
