Find Olympic Synchronized Swimming Training Facilities

Synchronized swimming is a combination of gymnastics, dance and swimming. The Olympic synchronized swimming team is comprised of extremely talented athletes who are exciting to watch, whether in competition or in training. Since Olympic tickets are cost-prohibitive for most, watching the synchronized swimmers in training is the only chance to see them in action.

Instructions

1. Go to Colorado. The National Training Center is in Colorado Springs. This is where to find the Olympic team doing their training and practicing competition routines. Contact the office of the training center to find out if any practice times are open to the public, and the necessary steps to gain entry to watch.

2. Look for sponsored clubs nearby. There are clubs in nearly every state that are sponsored by USA Synchro. These clubs are the talent pool from which the Olympic team is chosen.

3. Watch the Olympic team's meet schedule. A great way to see the synchronized swimming team's pre-Olympic training is to watch them in action at a competition.

4. Note travel for events. The synchronized swimming team still has to train, even when traveling. Note any sponsored facilities near where they are staying, and it's possible to catch them training away from home.

5. Check out team members' bios. When the athletes are at home, they practice at their local club. While they won't be practicing as a team, it is a great opportunity to see the individual talent of the team members.
