1. Collect coke or other soda can tabs for several months or years. Involve people in your neighborhood, people in your workplace or people you from your church in collecting the tabs. 2. Research and make calls to determine what business near you is accepting pop tabs to donate to charity. Take your Coke or pop tabs to the location accepting the tabs, this may be a school, business or a local McDonald's. Pop tabs can always be taken to McDonald's restaurants or Ronald McDonald houses.
3. Save the donation center some time, and take the Coke tabs to a recycling center and trade them in for money. The recycling center will weigh the tabs and compare the weight to the current price per pound for donations of aluminum.
4. Receive the money for turning the Coke tabs in at a recycling center. Depending on the amount of tabs you recycle, you will receive either cash or a check.
5. Take the money you receive for turning in and recycling the Coke tabs directly to a charity, business, or office to which you wish to donate. Taking the money directly to the charity ensures that you do not forget about the money and spend it on your own needs and wants. Recycling the tabs yourself allows you to donate to a wider variety of charities and organizations you feel need help.
