Change The Oil On A Kymco Agility 50

Old, dirty oil can form a thick sludge, which affects overall engine performance. A sign that the oil needs to be changed is a roughly idling engine or one that consumes more gasoline than usual. The oil on a Kymco Agility 50 motor scooter should be changed after the first 186.4 miles or 300 kilometers, and then every 1242.7 miles or 2000 kilometers afterwards. If the Kymco motor scooter is driven in dusty or cold areas the oil will deteriorate or degrade faster than normal and will need to be changed more frequently.

Instructions

1. Park the motorcycle on its main stand on level ground. Remove the oil dipstick and set it aside in a safe place.

2. Remove the oil check bolt and sealing washer, which are located on the underside of the motorcycle's chassis, near the rear wheel.

3. Place an oil drain pan beneath the drain bolt, which is located beneath the oil check bolt. Remove the drain bolt. Drain out all of the oil. Once all of the oil has drained from the motorcycle, replace the oil drain bolt and seal washer. Tighten the oil drain bolt with a torque wrench to a torque of six to nine foot-pounds.

4. Pour the engine grade SAE 15w/40 oil into the oil port where the oil dipstick sits to fill up the engine with oil. The engine can hold up to 0.10-liters of oil so do not overfill past this amount. Reinsert the oil dipstick and tighten the cap.

5. Turn on the motorcycle and check the oil bolt for leaks. If it does leak, tighten the oil bolt to create a stronger seal. Turn the engine off and wait 30 seconds. Check the oil level by removing the oil dipstick. Wipe off the oil with a piece of paper towel. Reinsert the dipstick and remove it. Hold the end of the dipstick over some paper towel to read it. The dipstick will have lines that are labeled, so you will know how much oil is in the vehicle.
