Change The Strap For Oakley Ski Goggles

This would be a lousy time for those goggle straps to break.

Oakley is a brand well known for its stylish and sporty eye wear. Even though it is mostly associated with sunglasses, Oakley also manufactures prescription glasses and sports goggles. One of its more popular sports goggles is the A-Frame used for skiing. These goggles are great for protecting your eyes against harsh winter elements and bright sunlight. They're also pretty sturdy; however, this doesn't mean they're invulnerable. Certain parts like the lens and the strap may need to be replaced from wear and tear.

Instructions

1. Peel off the top portion of the frame bordering the lens. Do this gently so as not to damage the lens.

2. When the top part of the lens is released, pull the lens from the frame. Do not pull the whole lens in one go. Pull on one side first until that side is released, then move on to the other side.

3. Hold on to the frame and gently coax the lock of the strap attached to the frame. Pull out the top of the lock first, then the bottom. Repeat this with the other side of the strap.

4. When installing the replacement strap, do so in reverse order of removal. Carefully but firmly push in the bottom lock, then move on to the top.

5. To reinsert the lens, follow the corresponding slots of the lens to that of the frame. Start by pushing in the lens to the nose bridge, then move around the frame.

6. After feeding the top part of the frame over the lens, push in the tabs that hold the lens in place.
