Do The Running Man

Do the Running Man

A popular dance in the '80s and even today, the Running Man is a fast-paced dance that can be preformed to many types of popular music. It's called the Running Man because the dancer looks like just that--a running man. But there's more to it than just running in place. Read on to learn more.

Instructions

1. Stand with your feet flat on the ground and your left foot in front of your right foot as if you are taking a step forward. Your toes on your right foot should be about a foot behind the heel of your left foot when in this position.

2. Take a step in place with two hopping motions. Your right foot should pick up slightly off the floor and come forward as your left foot hops back. Then step your right foot forward as your left foot hops back further.

3. Repeat this with your right foot hopping back as your left foot scoots up and then forward.

4. Add the arm movements. Stretch your arms out in front of you, then bend your elbows and bring your hands in toward your chest. Do this repeatedly to accompany your foot movements.
